Kevlar Engineering Elastomers

Engineering elastomers make tires and rubber products more durable

Engineering elastomer is an ultra-short and ultra-fine aramid fiber product that has been surface-activated. It is easy to disperse and can interact with the surface of the filler, thereby reducing the Pavne effect between the filler and the filler, reducing the hysteresis loss of the rubber compound, and reducing heat generation. For the purpose of rolling resistance, it can reinforce natural rubber, synthetic rubber and thermoplastic rubber, improve processing performance, improve dimensional stability, improve tensile and dynamic modulus, improve wear resistance and improve the puncture resistance of sidewall rubber It is widely used in rubber products such as tapes, transmission belts, rubber hoses, gaskets, tires, rubber roller cover rubber, etc.

How to use Kevlar engineered elastomer?

Kevlar engineered elastomers provide increased stiffness (modulus) with little or no hysteresis change that can lead to heat buildup (loss tangent), and thus differ in reinforcement from traditional fillers such as carbon black and silica. Improvements in abrasion resistance, tear strength, green rubber strength, modulus and cut resistance have been demonstrated through real-world performance across a range of applications.

Engineering elastomers can improve the performance of racing tires, truck tires, bus tires, engineering tires and agricultural tires, and can significantly improve tire hysteresis performance and reduce heat generation, thereby improving cut resistance and chipping resistance.
